FORM CLI / 0.2.1

YOUR PARTS.
IN YOUR TERMINAL.

Point FORM at a folder. Find material specifications, inspection requirements and missing evidence across your files. Connect your KMS account when you’re ready to prepare a part request.

Install and open a folder

curl -fsSL https://form.kreatize.com/install.sh | bash -s -- --folder "$PWD"

Run this in your parts folder, or replace "$PWD" with an existing path in quotes. Requires macOS or Linux, Bash, curl and Python 3.9+. The installer verifies the release checksum and includes the PDF reader. On a Mac with DevStorage, installation and generated state stay on that volume.

Then open another folder anytime:

form "/path/to/parts"

If your shell does not find form, open a new terminal. The installer prints the executable’s full path.

A small, focused workspace

TypeWhat happens
show material and inspection requirementsSearches extracted passages and returns file, page or sheet-row references and SHA-256 fingerprints.
reviewShows evidence cues and required checks for complexity, quality, material, feasibility and availability.
files / refreshLists the selected folder’s documents, or rescans after changes.
exportSaves the local index and evidence checks as JSON on your computer.
loginOpens KREATIZE login and asks you to allow the terminal connection.
request 20Lets you select drawing/CAD file numbers from the folder (leave inspection reports and certificates local). After you type UPLOAD, prepares a KMS draft and sets quantity 20 for each returned KMS part.
submit / statusReviews the exact configured request before RFQ submission, or checks its KMS quote status.

Files FORM can read

PDF selectable text, XLSX stored values, DOCX paragraph text, CSV, TXT, Markdown and JSON. STEP and STL provide metadata; CAD geometry is not analyzed. Image-only PDFs require OCR. Hidden directories and symlinks are skipped. Limits: 200 indexed documents, 25 MiB per file, 500 PDF pages, and 500,000 extracted characters per document.

Local evidence, connected quoting

No login is needed for local reading, search or export. Those commands do not upload your files or call a model API. The first CLI release uses document retrieval and deterministic evidence checks; it does not provide conversational AI reasoning, trained risk predictions, or engineering approval.

KMS quoting is an authenticated private pilot. Use form login, then request 20 inside your folder workspace. PDF/STEP/STL uploads are limited to 50 files and 250 MiB per batch. Check drawing/CAD pairing, exact material, manufacturing process and quantities in the returned KMS link. Only a complete KMS configuration can be submitted.

submit shows the request and asks you to type SUBMIT. An RFQ is not a purchase order. Current stock, capacity and lead times come from network quoting. If a write outcome is unknown, the CLI stops; reconcile it in KMS before retrying or creating another request.

The OAuth connection expires after one hour. Reconnect with form login; use form logout to remove the local connection. Local connection files are stored with owner-only permissions. Historical review cases and other customers’ data are not exposed.

Automation and uninstall

form ./parts --no-interactive
form ./parts --json
form login --no-browser
form logout

JSON includes extracted document text; handle it as your own confidential data. For installation without opening a folder: curl -fsSL https://form.kreatize.com/install.sh | bash -s -- --no-launch. The installer supports --prefix and --no-modify-path. To uninstall, remove the printed install directory and its ~/.local/bin/form symlink, then remove the FORM CLI PATH line if the installer added one.
